DC Spotlight: Dinner (after a Movie) at Indique

I included Indique on the Washington, DC Restaurants page of this website because it is my favorite place to have dinner after seeing a film at the historic Uptown Theater in DC's Cleveland Park neighborhood.  Like most Indian restaurants, Indique serves a number of traditional, protein-rich, vegetarian staples.  The venue is casual but elegant.  My favorite meal (minus the garlic naan) is pictured below.

Vegetable samosa chaat (deconstructed samosa mounted on spiced chickpeas
with cilantro and tamarind chutney)

Alu chole (chickpeas cooked with onions, tomatoes, potatoes, & spices) served with
a side of dal makhani (black lentils cooked with tomatoes, garlic, ginger, & spices) and white rice

Indique also serves excellent cocktails (try the kokum martini for something different).  Its sister restaurant, Indique Heights, is located in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
