DC Spotlight: Dinner at Estadio

Estadio serves contemporary Spanish cuisine and is one of my favorite local restaurants.  As noted on the Washington, DC Restaurants page of this website, the restaurant offers a separate vegetarian menu upon request (although for some reason the menu does not appear on the restaurant's own website).  The vegetarian tapas, which vary a bit depending on the season, are countless and all delicious, as are the cheese and wine.

Estadio's arugala salad is served with sauteed red onions, roasted red peppers and hard boiled egg.
Be sure to order the vegetarian version without the boquerones (anchovies).

Estadio's patata bravas (potatoes with spicy tomato sauce) and grilled ramps with romesco sauce
and shaved cheese burst with flavor.

Estadio's tortilla espanola (Spanish omelet) is served with sweet hot peppers.

Estadios's roasted wild mushrooms are seasoned with parsley and garlic.

Estadio is located on 14th Street, in the non-touristy (yet centrally located) Logan Circle area, which is home to numerous, other, excellent local restaurants (for a complete list of ones that are vegetarian-friendly, click on the Washington, DC Restaurants tab at the top of this page).

TIP:  Estadio does not except reservations for small parties after 6:00 PM, so get there early if you do not want to wait for a table.
