St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands (Nov. 2009)

The nicest restaurant I found in St. Thomas with creative vegetarian offerings was Havana Blue, which serves Tropical Latin American cuisine in a beautiful, seaside-chic atmosphere.  Although the menu consists mostly of seafood, there are several vegetarian options, including black bean hummus and a vegetable torta.  But my favorites were the "sexy sides," which you can order as a meal:
